The State Council of Educational Research & Training, Alto - Porvorim organised Poster Contest to celebrate National Science Day. The theme for the competition was 'My Imagination About Science'. Three students from VVA participated in this competition of classes 5 to 7. The competition was held at the A.D.E.I office Margao on 9th February 2011. Master Kenneth Da Silva of class 7 bagged 1st place at the Taluka Level. 
In another drawing competition organised by Sri Sri Institute of Management Studies on the theme 'India Lies in You' which was held at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao on 25th February 2011, Master Sairaj Phal Desai of Class 7 secured 2nd place in the competition.
