July 2 is a day we at the Academy look forward to. It is the School Anniversary and we remember with joy and gratitude the year 1994 when the school was started.
We also remember the founders of the school on this day which is also Founders’ Day of Vidya Vikas Academy. This year the school competed 17 years. July 2 is also Awards Day and we were honoured to have Mrs. Pallavi Dempo (Executive Director, Dempo Industries Pvt. Ltd.,) as Chief Guest and Mr. Gajanan Prabhudessai (Dy. S.P. (Traffic) South) and Mrs. Rajashree Prabhudessi as Guests of Honour.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Dempo emphasized the need for pupils to make the best use of every opportunity to develop the personality. She was also appreciative of the various school activities and programmes designed to provide varied experiences for the pupils. She complimented the school on receiving the British Council ISA Award. President of VVM, Shri Ramnath Kare spoke about the development of the school and future plans. The Principal, Dr. Alan Rodrigues read the School Report for 2010 – 2011.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp followed by a beautiful prayer song and dance, “Satyam, Shivam, Sundaram”. The School Magazine, Vidya Varsha was released by the Chief Guest. The highlight of the programme was the presentation of the awards and scholarships.A cultural item “One World, One People” sent a powerful message of peace, love and harmony. Mrs. Sheela Gaunekar, Manager of the School proposed a vote of thanks.
